Everyone deserves a good gift. Especially you.

Be-stow exists to provide handmade, unique options for all your gift giving needs. Our hope is to create gifts that bring as much joy to the giver as to the lucky recipient! And, if you happen to be buying a gift for yourself, we think you are amazing and totally deserve the best gifts too!

We believe…

  • you matter

  • you deserve beauty in your life

  • we are designed to appreciate and enjoy good things

  • giving a good gift brings deep joy to the giver and the receiver

  • handmade art should be affordable and accessible to anyone

  • the world has enough chaos, let’s add some beauty to it

  • we can make a difference together- every gift you purchase has 10% of the profit go towards worthy nonprofits (so, hey! thanks for changing the world, and check out www.projectworthmore.org to see how your purchase is making an impact for the refugee community in Metro Denver!)

We are a family of artists- two generations that have discovered the gift of a vocation centered on discovering beauty, creating art, and sharing it with others. We hope you enjoy looking around at some of our latest creations, and maybe there’s something that’s meant to go home with you today!

A little bit about us…

Generation 2:

Noelle is our jewelry designer. She loves making unique and affordable items that brings a smile or flash of confidence to her clients. Noelle LOVES giving (and receiving) thoughtful gifts. “It’s a tangible expression of love to find a gift that really captures the essence of someone else. We all want to feel seen and known, and the best gifts do just that.” Noelle recently moved from Denver to Columbus, Ohio to be near family. She and her husband have 3 great young adults, Mikko the dog and Mister and Max, two ornery cats.

The process: Each leather piece is cut by hand. No machines, just honest design and intention, made to last. Our brass is sourced from a woman-owned and run business here in the U.S.- we love to support other small business in our design process. Noelle creates jewelry she would love to wear. Each one slightly different from the next, so claim yours today!

Generation 1:

Kim & Katherine McClelland are our scrimshaw designers. Kim started engraving scrimshaw just out of college WAY back in the 1970s. Katherine collaborates with design elements and makes the business work! They started their art business, “Tree of Life Artworks” 45 years ago and have been spreading their joy around the world since then. Their work has been featured in many countries, in the White House, carried by dozens of galleries and is treasured in the homes of art collectors around the United States. They are often inspired by their faith, nature and the mysteries of life found all around us. They also have 3 kids (Noelle is one of them) which so far have given them 3 great in-laws and 8 amazing grandkids. They live and create in Columbus, Ohio.

The process: Kim and Katherine work together for inspiration on new designs. Kim then engraves an original design into a fossil material. This process is “blind”- an etching made without color or ink (super duper hard!). They then make a custom mold of the original, and hand pour each piece in a resin material that they have perfected over the years. Each piece is then buffed and hand-inked so that the ink is deposited into the hundreds of cuts that make up the design. A similar casting process is made for each of their frames as well. Each piece of visual art has many hours of labor and love poured into it.
